Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 1) are hitters pissed if someone gets IBBed in front of them? Some. Maybe most.2) is being pissed, if that's indeed what happens, good or bad?Depends on how the persons channels his anger.3) why don't more batters get all worked up, if this is the effect, routinely? Mostly they're trying to stay calm, patient, thoughtful--the opposite of "pissed."Certain things will get the blood up. A pitch to the head (that misses of course). Playing an former team. Contract years. They dial it up a notch. I've certainly observed this type of thing.Nice pitch Bart!6-2 Guys who are going to win 10 in a row, by first winning their fourth in a row.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Woman in the front row clearly said something to make Pena blush on that popup.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The humidity tonight in Cincinnati is murder, as per noted meteorologist Dr. Wilmer Flores' Hair.
Guest Trachsel My Tears Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I just caught Keith quoting some Met saying "Pete Flynn kept me out of the Hall of Fame." Who was he quoting?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Good bunt by den Dekker and a better fielding effort by Dennick.A lot of den-s on that play.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Mr. Granderson, please pull your vehicle into the soaping bay.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Herrera does not have lazy feets.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Logan O'Ndrusick on for the Reds.I o'love burning through a team's bullpen in game one of a series. O'love it a LOT.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Eric Young, Jr., may get into this game. DEFEND YOUR STOLEN BASE TITLE HEAD-TO-HEAD, EY!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 dD makes us a centerfielder's play in left.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Swap den Dekker for Granderson-- or keep den Dekker in left, and swap NewHouse for Granderson-- and this outfield defense approaches max-filthiness.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I have not been IGT'ing like a good CPF'er this last bunch of weeks. I'm still watching all of the games but the increasingly obvious point -- that the Mets won't be playing in the postseason this year, once again -- has affected me a bit more this year. It's a cumulative effect that's been building gradually since 2007.Having said that, fuck the Reds and their dumb green hats.
Guest Trachsel My Tears Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Nice to watch den Dekker tooling around the bases. Dude can run.

And the green uni's make me gag. And I'm half Irish.OO, Wright ripped that one.Imagine if Wright and Granderson came alive....imagine....imagine
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If this game ever ends, I predict we're going to win it.
Guest Trachsel My Tears Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Hey, Keith just touted Manchester's [u:1dgs35uf]The Glory and the Dream[/u:1dgs35uf], one of my favorite popular history books.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 There's not nearly enough beer to distribute for this game.

I un-retired from IGTing specifically to get this 10-game winning streak we got going now started.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Watching Dilson I just had the thought Danny Murphy may have played his last game as a Met.
