Flores has not only shown the ability to play short, but has actually made some eye-popping plays recently as he has become more comfortable. And his bat has really picked up.
So, when I got home from work, the game was over and I checked out the box score.

He's outplayed Flores on both sides of the ball. They may want to get more looks at Flores, and they've gotten plenty, but that's no reason to bury Tejada forever. There'll be other games.

It was described as a "spot" start by some announcer, I forget who, before the game, but I thought maybe TC was asking Flores to sit down one night and rethink his baserunning strategies of the night before.

I don't believe this is clear at all.
The ability to play there on occasion maybe, but the small sample we've seen doesn't point to an everyday guy.
