Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 May be up as the needed 3rd LHR but not someone they're fretting about protecting this winter.Already 25 y/o (26 by OD 2015) and spent a majority of the year in Savannah. Orignally a refugee of the Philly systemAlso apparently didn't pitch anywhere from 2010-2012IOW, an arm, not a prospect.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 10-1, 1.10 ERA, with 114 strikeouts and only 17 walks in 73 1/3 innings.I'll take it!!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 And a .88 WHiP!!Only caveat is that most of that occurred in A-ball
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Apparently Edgin's elbow is all messed up and so we need some lefties.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Still, he leapfrogged Lannan, Gorski, Leathersich, Chism, Cuan... even Matz!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 But if you just want an arm for the month and don't want to waste service time on a guy like Matz that you'll need later, then this might be a shrewd move. DFA him in October if he turns out to be nothing special.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 LV is also in the playoffs, so there's a reason to keep the 51s roster mostly intact for the time being.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Goeddel first 62 since Elvin Ramirez. Rosario the first 68.Satin & Centeno hold steady at 13 & 36, respectively.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Wasn't Erik Goeddel the midget who played for the St. Louis Browns 70 years ago?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Yeah, but he's grown some since.
