Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 ... we go for more than two full days without a game.In this case it's a day game followed by an off-day followed by night game - and on the west coast no less!!!! That's like 51 hours from last pitch to next pitch!I though that periods of more than 48 hours without a ballgame during the summer were prohibited by the constitution or something, but it seems like we've had a bunch of these this year.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 The Mets did us a favor and broke the unwritten rule that stretches like this have to be immediately preceded by a gut-wrenching late inning loss so you can stew on it and drive yourself crazy.For these 51 hours I will be thinking about the Duda blast.
