Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Ahh don't worry about it, it's not like those stranded runners are going to come back and haunt us or anything.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I totally would have had Young bunting. One guy on the right side of the field? And it's Overbay? Positioned as a secondbaseman? Punish people for that sort of shit.

Punish people for that sort of shit.I thought of that too.The problem is that it might have been a decade since he last bunted and you'd like to see the guy with 4 doubles in his last 5 ABs take a hack in a situation where he could at least drive in a run with an out. But, yeah, I would have bunted.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 And two.Does it look like Mejia is dropping his arm slot?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 That was unsettling.Overbay, don't be a hero. Don't be a fool with your life.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 We certainly didn't put on a clinic, but splitting with the best team in the league in their own park is nothing to be ashamed of.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Knowing how the Mets traditionally tank on their first few weeks after the All-Star break, and knowing how tough a trip this was, coming out of it 5-5 is better than I expected. Especially after dropping 2 of 3 to the Padres.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 We didn't make it to this one but watched the end with a bunch of diehard Brewlians in a local joint. This morning we passed by the Mets hotel as a coach pulled up. Turned out it was for everyone's luggage and the players were already at the park. However did get some nice shots of Met luggage tags. Will publish later.
