Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 What part-- the grandstanding on-field work, or the country-music side gig?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I think the problem with Kevin is that he sounds like a kid sometimes.I never thought of Gary for his voice. More for his fan view & knowledge. But he does have a great baseball voice.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I think the thing about Kevin is, he's too even-keel, especially at the top end of the excitement spectrum. He describes well, conveys information well... but emotes pretty poorly. He's like the Anti-Gus-Johnson.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Good lord they're just trying to give this game away!!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 EVERYONE's trying to give this game away. It's just that the Giants are the only ones polite enough to accept.Side note: I think Kevin would be better off trying the Harry Kalas route, and going laconic. He just doesn't do "excited" well, vocally.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Duda, theres a thing first basemen call "a stretch"...
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Hey Posey! Maybe we should change the rules so you get four strikes! Ha!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 On the positive side, both Raphael Soriano and Craig Kimbrel have blown 9th inning saves tonight.Nats @ Padres are in the 10th inning tied at 2; Snakes still batting in the 9th vs Kimbrel's Braves.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 btw, at this time last night the game was already over for 20 minutes - and here we are in just the top of the 7th tonight.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 (edited) West takes, West gives. West is capricious and capacious; he blows hot and cold. West is El Nino.Jeurys, on the other hand, is El Hombre. Edited June 7, 2014 by Guest
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I wonder what the Wilpons think when Keith starts going on and on about how great it is to have a stadium without all the loud, piped-in music and scoreboard directed cheers? It won't change anything, but I hope he keeps harping on it.

The team looks for feedback on this sort of thing all the time.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I wonder how long it's been since the LOOGY Lopez went 2 complete innings?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I'm tempted to ask if that was your final answer, but it would be hypocritical of me.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 One-run save on the road against the meat of the order. This will be a MAN-SIZED save if he can pull it off.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Pagan has been very steppy-outy all game.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 They just keep inventing ways not to win games.
