Familia appeared in 18 games in May and had and 0-0 record with 1 save and a 1.93 ERA over 18.2 innings. The Schaefer Mets Bench Player of the Month for May is ERIC CAMPBELL. Eric earned 1.68 points in May in games in which he was not in the starting lineup, finishing ahead of Bobby Abreu (0.99) and Ruben Tejada (0.64). Last month's winner, former Met Ike Davis, still holds the season lead and has a shot at winning Bench Player of the Year on the strength of his April walk-off grand slam.Updated award winner standings, with this month's winners in bold:PLAYER OF THE MONTHDavid Wright 14Johan Santana 6Carlos Beltran 5Jose Reyes 5R. Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Matsuzaka had 3.86 points as a starter and 5.23 as a reliever.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Superlative work BG, as always.I'm assuming it's the first time that two rookie callups immediately earned their Schaefer cards.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 I think it might be, yes.
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Loving the cards, as always! Fantastic!
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Standout portrayals. Jeurys at Shea and the hatless look for David when one would figure there wouldn't be much more to do with Wright after so many cards.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Thanks for noticing! Finding a new way to portray David Wright was definitely something I took into consideration.I have very few openings left for David; I've already cheated once by going outside the 1970's for that Kranepool card. All that's left in my favorite baseball card decade are 1974, 1976, and 1979.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Outstanding. That deGrom card is deBom
