Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Hell, I gave up when Gee gave up the homer to tie it. Glad I didn't torture myself for an extra five innings.West coast games suck.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 NYM pitchers walked TEN in this game (OK two were intentional, but still) and famously plunked one to boot, while NYM batters walked nonce.Considering that, plus the fact that LAA left 17 on base while Met LOBsters were just four, it's probably lucky (or maybe just more frustrating) that the game was as close or as long as it was.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I'm taking the blame for that one. I invoked "Homer at the Bat" after yesterday's game, and BAM! walkoff-hit-by-pitch.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Gee can't be giving back two leads a night, no matter how lucky the rest of the guys get.
