Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Simon says Alfredo Simon is pronounced like "Simon Says" (sorry, I stole that from Josh Lewin. supposedly he changed how his name was pronounced recently) and will face off against Jon "2 MRI" Niese making his season debut.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Not so sure I hold Nee-AY-say if I'm Teufel there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Come on, d'Arnaud-for-14. Get off the schneid.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Knees giving up a string of sixth-inning singles. Down 2-1 and German coming in to prove you're all wrong about the pen.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 d'Arnaud slams one but park holds it and I feel sad.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 OK, six outs to get one run. Can't be that hard.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Man, you don't use Lucas as a leadoff pinch-hitter. You go with Satin or Brown or Q. Now they'll just go with the lefty.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Here we go men. Let's win it in the 9th again.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I know Davis was yesterday's hero but I'd still be using Satin to hit here.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Blub.Nice job, Parra. But blub. Alfredo Simon, my ass.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I am concerned about d'Arnaud but have no answers beyond Recker/Teagarden is this keeps up...

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 The back-to-back Ks by Muffy & Wright w/runners on 2nd & 3rd were the obvious wet blankets today. As soon as the ball was hit I thought Niese had a decent shot of scoring on Young's double but, with just one out and those two coming up, stopping him at 3rd was probably the smart move, even if it didn't end up that way.Other than that, just the usual assortment of too many Ks and Niese having his hits allowed all bunched up in that one inning - starting with the one by the pitcher leading off.Not a lot of suds to spread around today.

WTF?Sure seemed to hit a wall of air or something, but it was a high pitch that he kind of tomahowked, so maybe it had just a little topspin bite.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Heard the early RBI single in the car and then came home and slept and missed the rest.
