Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I GUARANTEE a victory today or will not start the next game thread. If you were looking for reasons to be optimistic, consider:--Strugglers like Grandy and [crossout:1uufy32u]Davis[/crossout:1uufy32u] Doodoo vs. RHP-- Wheeler has ability and isn't hurt yet-- Tejada & Duda's last games as Mets prior to Big First Week Blockbuster Trade-- Return of Muffy-- Fans have zero CAHNfidence and therefore don't expect itDay Game.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 It's not exactly Pedo V Smoltz in terms of needing a win but fuck it we need this win....time to shine Zack.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Let's see if we can keep those strikeouts in the single digits, okay, boys?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 OTOH, Wheeler can strike out as many as he can.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Is Wilmer gone to make room for Murphy?

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will throw out the first pitch after awarding the Mets some award for post-Sandy work.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 WTF is wrong with Chris Young?, why would he be gone?
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 metirish wrote:WTF is wrong with Chris Young?, why would he be gone?Because he broke himself running for a foul ball in the top half of the first inning last night and was pulled from the game.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Oh, missed that, was at the scouts.....Christ , it's a mess.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 In other news, I am NOT at this game, which is good, because since the advent of MLB At The Ballpark statistics I've never seen the Nats lose in 9 tries now. And they don't come back until the second week of august and the second week of September (which I'm definitely not attending) and won't be in Washington when I drive by for a baptism.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Ruby baby reports that Tanner Roark, NOT Jordan ZimmoMan, will start for Washington. Not sure how that will affect the lineup posted as:EYJ LFMuffy 2BWright 3BGrandyman RFDoodoo 1BLagares CFdArnaud CTejada SSWheeler
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 probably won't, both righties.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I didn't know they performed drive-by baptisms in Washington DC.I still haven't seen anything about who gives up a roster spot for Murphy. (Or if Chris Young is going on the DL.)

(Or if Chris Young is going on the DL.)Young on DL is official.the baptism is actually in Virginia near Langley (my wife's goddaughter's father is/was in the coast guard) and obviously I looked up the home schedules for the Nats and Orioles (and the Tide) that weekend.

But Alderson is still here!Homeland Security actually is a subset of the Chronoguard and came back in time to award the Mets this today, because they're protecting something in the Standard Historical Eventline (SHE).

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Tanner Roark has made 14 appearances and 5 starts in MLB including a September 12th start against the Mets (and Aaron Freaking Harang) - holding the boys to 2 runs on 6 hits over 6. Short career numbers to date: 1.51 ERA, 0.91 WHiPHe won the 5th starter spot over Ross Detwiler in Spring Training.
