Still not sold on Flores, who singles in the first run in the 1st. Nice rip down the 3rd base line.

Young has now stolen more bases since the all star break than Charlie Samuel stole during his entire 30 year career with the Mets.

It must be get on Charlie week.

Wow, Young covered a lot of ground. He's good in the gaps. Great catch. Lil snow cone there? lil bit?

Those are some nice kaboom pic Zvon, by the way.

I'm trying to soak up and enjoy as many Mets games as I can., There are only a few remaining this year.

Why do we never get an answer, when we're knocking on the door?

Gary doing deep into the old Moody Blues catalog for references tonight.

Thnx.

It's always a depressing time of year for me when baseball comes to an end. And leading up to it with no post season play in sight almost saps the life that the new brisk fall weather wants to pump into me. Fortunately, the brisk chill always wins.
Still, it sucks a extra large sized cargo boat full of male members.

I've been half watching these games. Any official word on the extent of FFs line drive to the wrist injury earlier today?

Contusion (bruise) but no break.
I was shocked at the 'no break' news.

Really. It looked bad. But like when Bax squished his glove on that foul ball earlier, players today are quick to look dramatically fragile.

I'll take the split.

It's a shame when the crowd is so sparse that you can hear every word the batter says when he's mad at the ump.

We stuck around from the top of Game 1 until the fourth. When the organ played the techno "Twilight Zone" riff, I could hear individual, mid-volume "woo"s from other seating tiers.

The crowd was fun, if Grant's-Tomb-sized, and the atmosphere was convivial and warm, if thermally frigid.
