Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Bases full O' Rocks and Mejia will get the hook.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Torres induces the shallow pop up to center. One out left to get for Torres.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I gotta say it. I like Eric Young Junior.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 He still plays too damn deep but that catch makes up for it - in that case anyway.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Master Young with the masterful catch gets us out of it. Very nice.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Young, man. Minus the seven weeks before the Mets got him, he's been everything we could have hoped for from Michael Bourne, hasn't he?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 That was a Schaefer deserving catch by EY!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 So, how about this pitcher wearing zero? Bring out the grumpy the old man in you or what?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Davis reaching 11 times in 13 appearances.batdavisleadoff!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Keith just asked if Olerud has a shot at the Hall of Fame. Not until you get in, buddy! They're forgetting all about Jeff Kent.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Between Culberson and Flores, I'm starting to thing Ron Darling's 1980s salon mullet is coming back.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Two runs in the first and nothing since. This is getting oooooold.

Between him and Laggy, and maybe even Byrd, this changes the whole deal in the off season as to what we need to improve the team.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Assuming that those three guys continue to play at this level, if we had an opening day OF of Young in LF, Lagares in CF and Byrd in RF I would be fine with that.Look for a SS or a 1B on the free agent market.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Byrd with another really nice catch. In a way Im just as excited over Byrd as I am Young. He has been so solid.

He no longer tops my list. What SS's are available?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Quintanilla will be available, I think.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 You know, I bet the Mets take a sniff around Jhonny Peralta.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 A dead hop and a fast Young equals a Met lead.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Juan Lagares, devastating middle-of-the-order slugger.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I'm OK with Hawkins in the chamber. Just keep an Aardsma and a Feliciano in the clip.
