Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Byrd getting some breaks here. YEA! Marlon lines a single up the middle.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 POW! Ike with the hit and Byrd with the run! Once again Teufel makes the right call to send the runner.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Holy Crap! I run better than Byrd, but he chugged in well enough to score!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 AWESOME!!!!! Byrd scores from first on an Ike double! He's got some Byrdy balls! And Ikes rip was a frozen rope grasscutter.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 The ball didn't even reach the wall. I was very surprised Byrd was going. But he did get up a full head of steam there.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I was screaming send him all the way.And Byrd is a better runner than he's being credited for here.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Big job by Edgin getting through the heart of the order in order.

I just watched the replay on the Davis double and the camera work was impeccable and made that play look just as exciting as it was.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 The reanimated carcass of Ike Davis getting it done at the dish and in the field tonight.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Wow, great tag by Muffie on the off-line throw.(OE: Shitty call by umpire)
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Josh and Howie say Marasnick was safe on that steal. I'm not so sure. If he indeed was, it's because Murphy missed the tag, not because he got in ahead of it.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Hawkins still throws some gas, for a guy in his 40's... which reminds me, off to start a new trivia thread.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 We were owed one from earlier so I'm not going to feel guilty about that one.Plus, anything that keeps Stanton from potentially coming up in the 9th inning is OK with me.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Okay Bobby, show me you're a closer. A real life closer. This is a suckass team in our division. We gotta win here. Nail this one down.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 2 down, tying run on 1st, Stanton on deck...
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 C'mon Bobby, this guy's only been in the big leagues for like 20 minutes
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 That's why he's getting a steady diet of curveballs.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 ball 4Here comes Stanton
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Walk him? (Stanton I mean) Edited July 29, 2013 by Guest
