Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 I thought 'RED' was deplorable so I don't think I'll be adding my two cents to this poll.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 i keep on catching only the latter half of RED as it airs on, what, f/x, and i rather enjoy it, for what it is. it ain't high cinema, but it's a solid five. i imagine RED 2 will be much of hte same. maybe one day i'll catch its latter half while skipping around the late night channels in a few years..
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 There's a strange sweetness to this tale of over-the-hill agents taking on the agency trying to kill them. It's got humor and romance intertwined with the rising body count, not to mention some well-staged action sequences. I can see why this might not be everyone's cup of tea, but "deplorable"? It's better than average for what it is.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 At this point I don't even remember what specifically it was that I didn't like about it, only that I thought it to be a silly waste of talent.

Goo-ey.Yes, I enjoyed the heck out of the first one, and can't wait to see the sequel. I saw Hopkins interviewed before this came out, and he said he was proud that "he did his own stunts". I'm sure that was either tongue-in-cheek or there aren't too many tough things for him to do.Later
