Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Yep, I was surprised Gary didn't get that one, I knew it right off the bat. I was trying to remember who they got for him when they shipped him to Oaktown.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I know I was pretty deeply in denial regarding Doodoo, but now that he's out of the field and EY-Lagares are in the d is quite good suddenly. On an unrelated note Buck really sucks the moose organ right now and apparently was mad (uh, but not at Terry, no) for being PH for last night.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 The more I see/hear him, the more I kinda can't wait until we can tell him to go Buck himself.OE: Okay, the arm's okay.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Buck throws out a stealer. Mark the date! That was a perfect throw. GJ Buckyboy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 Buck's got that veteran catcher thing that LoDuca had, a sort of bearing like he's the un-named captain whenever he feels like it.On the other hand, Byrd is June's Buck, hitting at a level that nobody's convinced is sustainable, but Terry's gonna run him out there until he crashes to earth.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 Speaking of unsustainable levels, I'm Eric Young, and I got hits coming out of my pores. I weep base hits by night, and I fart a few more in the morning.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Eric Young craps thunder and pisses lightning (and OBP).
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Tough night for Cap'n Fantastic.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 And Comiskey II is crapping double plays tonight.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Mr. Marcum takin a shutout into the 8th. Very nice.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) Even as fielders kick the ball, throw errantly, and make weird no-look exchanges, the DPs keep getting nailed down. It's like an old-timey pinball-baseball game, and the board is inadvertently tilted toward the "Double Play" hole. Edited June 26, 2013 by Guest

Wait, what?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 I tell you, give this guy a little run support, let him pitch his game, and he's a better pitcher than you've been seeing.(Also, let him start against the Sox as often as possible.)
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 Man, let him go out there for the ninth.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 A well rested Parnell will get the 9th.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Odd fact of the day: The ChiSox and their in-division rival Tigers have yet to meet this season and won't until just before the ASB when the season will already be more than half over.On the flip side, from that point on nearly 1/4 of their remainder of the season (18 of the final 75 or so games) will be against the other - a fact which would be a lot cooler if both were division contenders although it isn't looking that way.

dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Marcum won't get the chance for his first major league shutout, and second complete game.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Boy, last night notwithstanding, these White Sox suck. And Buck decides to wear the SombrerAU.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 He's got three-run pad. You can lift him as soon as anybody gets on.Meanwhile, Recker's got to get some more PT. Meaning, NotBuck's got to get some more PT.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 We need to offer Quintanilla to the White Sox, like, tonight. Nobody will EVER think higher of him,
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Parnell does his job in a very convincing manner.
