Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Anyone? Anyone? No?Okay, I'll start with tonight's battery...Standing astride the mound tonight will be Class of Harvey draft pick (13th in the first) Chris Sale (13 GS, 90 1/3 IP, 2.69 ERA/0.97 WHIP, 91 K/21 BB, 8 HR allowed), who features a low-'90s two-seamer with late sink, an 11-to-5 slider with bite, a low-to-mid-'90s four-seamer, a swing-and-miss-Baseball-Bugs change, command with all of 'em, and a body that could snap in half with a 20-mph wind gust (6'6", 180ish). Every since pulling the Johan bullpen-lefty-to-rotation move, he's been dominant, like some kind of pitch-twirlin', Fields-Museum-refugee pterosaur. Because he pitches for THIS team, he's below .500 on the season. The dude with the mask catching him, Tyler Flowers (195 PAs, 6 HRs, 15 XBH, .215/.267/.365), is essentially a poor man's John Buck.Over to first?
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Adam Dunn at first. .193/.293/.458 /.751 20 HR. 89 Ks. He's probably not going to make contact, but occasionally will blind squirrel one over the fence.the KTE from the visit to Citihttp://www.cranepoolforum.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=19510
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 That's a lotta walking for a blind squirrel though.I have faith that Willets will come through on this one.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 The Rubin report, including some scary splits regarding White Sox 2B Gordon Beckham.By tomorrow night, assuming no postponements, the Royals will have played fewer games against the Mets than any MLB franchise. This series gives the White Sox seven games vs. the Mets; Royals have played only six, but are scheduled to surge ahead later this season with their seventh, eighth and ninth.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Alex Rios (.284/.344/.472/.816) is really the the best offensive threat they have. Dunn can go long, but Rios does a little of it all.The one hit against Harvey back in May vs. Chicago: Alex Rios.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Dayan Viciedo sounds like a computer-generated, or an ambassador from Star Trek: The Next Generation. But he's now White Sox: The Next Generation, a 24-year old utility corner guy (currently in left) with a build (5'11" 230) that inspires a nickname like "The Tank."Hit 25 homers last year, but hasn't gotten that untracked this year. Walks a lot when he's not hitting, though.
