Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I want Downtown Brown. Awful lot of Byrd lately.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Sell Byrd at the deadline and you may get your wish..
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I'm really liking this Young trade. With him and Lagares out there its like we have a whole new engine under the hood.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Nice. Young singles. Murph singles. Wrights sac fly gets Young to third, and he scores on a Byrdy sac fly. That's workin it.1-0 Mets.

I don't see where Eric Young has to be an everyday starter.I think Young has the potential to be just what we need in the outfield and in the lineup. I'll be very surprised if Byrd is with us after the trade deadline. Someones gotta need what he can bring.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 All our outfielders bring something to the table. Where's Matt Badigan? I don't see any Kormans?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Brown gets sat down.Young will be similarly rung.

It's not Harvey Day w/o BatMags Howard tells Harvey " No, not in my house". And thats a fine catch by Byrd on the rail.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Wright just misses one. Opp field double.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 WOW!!!! Ive never seen that. Revere drops a fly on the exchange. Lagares gets to third!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 He clearly caught it. Had possession for like 2 seconds. But mishandles it taking the ball from his glove and dropped it. I've never seen it happen quite like that. Ha! Revere sucks! Though technically the rule says he did not complete the play.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 And Young doubles in Harvey. Nice. And Wright doubles Young home. WOOT!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 All started with that interesting call on the Revere fly.4-0 Matts
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Delmon Young is number 3. I know this because I've been looking at his back most of this inning.

I have seen it, just not that often (probably 3 or 4 times in my life).
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Lagares slugs our 5th double of the game! 5-0 Matts!

But the rule does say transfer glove to hand. Yes, I was surprised at this call.Q sacs Buck for 6-0
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Harvey tried to enter the Peanuts universe and undress Savery with a line drive.I'm glad this Lannan isn't as good as the Lannan who used to stymie us with Washington.
