Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 shitcrap. Well, we have to score one run ourselves to have a chance, more now. Shame if we waste this outing by Marcum.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Well darnit. C'mon, ground ball, make yourself known.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I shouldn't say that until Shauns outing is over.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 How do we play so poor against these bush league assholes, anyway?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Did Keith just acknowledge and dismiss the dead soldier comment? If so well done sir.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I'll admit Turners beard is looking better but it still looks like an attachment for a vacuum.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Murphy hits one long and far and thank you laws of physics.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 And hand it to Muprhy, hitting it just where he hit it last time he came up with Q on base, but this time out of the centerfielder's reach.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Poor Burke. Striding toward the plate like a grownup and everything.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I'm no big Phillies fan, but have a very soft spot for most of Philadelphia and its people. Some of my favorite people are from DC. And heck-- Atlanta's an okay spot, too, with warm folk and food and hospitality. But I will never not hate this stupid fucking town and this stupid fucking team and its stupid fucking frontrunning fans and its venal fucking ownership group.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 It's a good object lesson. I don't consider it a letdown, but beating the Yankees don't mean the offense has their shit together. And two stupid flares off the end of the bat in the seventh are bad breaks but they shouldn't have been in a position for those breaks being the diff.

I know they played to permit the run already, but if it's 3-0 with runners on you simply do what you do to get an out, not worry about how to get that out or if you can get/need multiples in one play.
