vs. Jacob Turner, one of the guys they got from Detroit last year, making his 2013 debut. He actually faced us twice last year and pitched pretty well.

Fish, guys I've never heard of in bold

Jeff Mathis has been around a while. He's the guy that messed with my 'home runs by pitchers' post by pitching in two games one year.

Dietrich I just learned is 23-year old second-baseman acquired by the Marlins for Yunel Escobar. He's right-handed, has some decent pop, likes to juggle for sick kids, and his granddad played for the Tigers in '59 and the Indians in '60.

"A trick is something a whore does for money. Bitch, I'm a juggler."

Is it Ol' Ben Lucas?

Ed Lucas is kinda interesting, too. 31-year old career minor leaguer, he was the oldest member of the Marlin org to have never appeared in a major league game until yesterday (went 0-for-1 against Tampa and still looking for that first big league hit). He's an Ivy Leaguer (Dartmouth) who studied sociology and economics.

"I loathe juggling and jugglers."

Turner was the 9th overall draft pick by the Tigers out of a St Louis area HS and has been a major [Top 25] prospect on the horizon for the last three years despite (or maybe because) only turning 22 last week.
His ten starts this year in New Orleans though have been only so-so [3-4; 4.47; 1.3 WHiP; 35/14 K/BB in 56 IP].

How about Amanda Marcum, wife of USC basketball coach Andy Enfield?

Ya know, I'm never interested in what the Yankees do aside from when we play em, but I am interested in this series w/Boston to see if the Sawx can hit em while they're down, and knock em down outta 1st even more--continue what the Mets started. I find that refreshing.

That can't be fair to whoever Shauns squeeze is.

And he leaves early on a stolen base attempt and gets nailed.

Boom! Look at these Mets with the good fundies and everything.

Marcum continues to look like a pitcher. Our pitchers have been looking like pitchers. Good pitchers.

Ralph always told me not to get annoyed by those sorts of things. "You never know, if the baserunner is still out there," Ralph would say, "if the batter is even going to get the same pitch."

Really importantly, however, opposite field double for Davis. BINGO!

I figured there's no way these Fish games can't be anti-climactic after that last series sweep/sweep. My fan energy is low, like hungover. And now things get interesting.

Bases all fishy, 1 out, Marcum to Mathis.

I remember him saying that to Tim McArthur in a similar situation, after a double by Gary Cooper.
