Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Even on his Topps All-Rookie Team card, Tommie Agee looks like he's seen too much of life.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Was CleSox in a 1976 update set or something like that?

He appeared in only 12 games in '76, playing his last game ever on May 1, 1976, five months before the end of the season. So it was, understandably, unlikely that Topps would issue a 1976 card for Cleon, given their customs and practices. If I had my way, I'd issue a set that included every player on every team. If a player was traded four times in a season, I'd issue five cards of that player - one for each team.http://whitesoxcards.blogspot.com/2011/02/cards-that-never-were-43.html

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'd do that. I'd also go beyond to make sure the cards were printed in direct proportion to the number of days on the roster a particular player had.
