We were looking for "firsts", not "onlys". Hundley was the first Met player/Met manager to appear in an All Star Game wearing uniform #9.Ashburn was the first #1. Bobby V. was the first #2. Ed Kranepool (#7) was selected to the 1965 NL All Star team, but did not appear in that game. No Met player/manager ever appeared in an ASG wearing uniform #6.
