Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 See, I say I still believe in Whitestone, and there's nobody I can think of in Vegas that I'd dump him for, and hey, he's still pretty solid in the field and all... but then there's a rising liner hit his way, and he steps in, and I involuntarily cringe.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I'd like to think that the Turner bunt was due to Cichek being so tough on RHBs but he may have done the same with any other pitcher out there too.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Baxxy scares me now too. This would be a nice moment for Ike to blast out if it.

dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 You know, if this game was in important one, like on the last day of the season for all the marbles, it would go down as a classic. Clutch pitching, a late run to tie it, suspense all the way through. So why does it seem like one of the most depressing games I've ever seen? This is just painful. At least Gary and Keith are having a good time.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Muffy nice play. Too bad he forgot to hit.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 OH WOW. What a great play by Murphy! Wow, never thought he'd get him.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Murphy goes way to his right again. Dobbs lack of speed helps, but a nice play nonetheless.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Come on, kiddo. Catcher up. Bear down.

And Parnell has been looking like he might be ready for the closer job and him not holding it is very, very worrisome. It was a perfect chance for him to up his confidence and take the part.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Nice DP. We'll get a good look at Famy tonight, I figure.

Once they had to move him in the lineup it sort of acknowledged there was a sick patient among them and the disease just spread.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Starting the 12th inning ... and the 5th hour of baseball.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Got a phony at first here, and maybe a fun time to spring a base-hit-targeted bunt. Not with two out, however.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Lagares, Recker, and the ghost of Wright available on the bench.Rice remains in the pen, along with a starter or two.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 That Ike is killing us is a given. That's been true all season. But tonight's it's been Muffy simply because he's been up with so many runners on. Even when a productive out would be a big help he's failed miserably and repeatedly.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 We could really use a home run right now, Lucas.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Wow, two outs and a runner in sco po!Finally get a chance to take advantage of Pierre's non-arm there.
