Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Clearly the toughest matchup of the series. Of course, we have John Buck and they don't, so that's worth something.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Day off for Ike.Cowgill, cfMurphy, 2bWright, 3bBuck, cByrd, rfDuda, lfTurner, 1bTejada, ssGee, pYou might expect Duda to slide up to first when Ike has the day off. But you'd be wrong. Because what you're not thinking about is that Terry <3's Turner.

Let him learn left at his own pace, which very well could take the remainder of his career. I love Turner too. Get that boy some at bats. He fills in every infield spot almost effortlessly, like hes playing in a softball game or something. I think he should almost always be first choice when one of our reg infielders needs a rest.(*braces for fallout)

Guest vtmet Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 or why not Murphy at 1st and Turner at 2nd...Murphy is decent at 1st, both are decent at 2nd, Turner sucks at 1st...is playing first totally going to corrupt Murphy's learning curve at 2nd?

If Turner embarrasses me tonight cause I went to bat for him, I'll...I'll...make a bad graphic of him or something.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Jeeze, I'm sitting here with the wrong channel on the TV. Missed Murph and Bucks hits. Is Buck gonna hit singles too cause that would be nice.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Look, Turners awesome! Ya know, when envisioning him as the infield filler guy I really wasn't thinking 1st base, though I'm okay with it. I do believe Muffy at first and Turner at second would be better.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 How did we not get Brown going to 2nd?!!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Messy, messy, smelly, stinkie inning. Dudas throw was a tough break. When your throw hits the runner its gotta be pretty close to a good throw. Gee is just falling apart now. Yea, give an RBI hit to their pitcher. Rollins doubles....Phils booth thinks 4 won't be enough and I'm gonna agree.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Yea, lets allow Howards first homer of the season. Young?! Get Gee outta there.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Never thought I'd be anxious for starts by Hefner and Laffey. Gee sucked for most of spring training, and kind of sucked vs. the Padres, and really sucks tonight.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 So, just got home. Did I miss anything?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Gee deserves an F for tonight.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I blame it all on Turner for hitting into a DP with nobody out in the second.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Phils booth now insinuates that 7 may not be enough. What r they smokin? Lee with a 7 run lead? Their pen can't be that bad.John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote:I blame it all on Turner for hitting into a DP with nobody out in the second.Thats like wasting two at bats!

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 JImmy's E starts the comeback ... and quickly Buck-aroo Banzai confirms it's on !!!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 That was a pretty Wrightly piece of hitting by Buckminster.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I'm liking the Dickey for Buck trade.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 It ain't over 'til the (surprisingly agile) fat lady goes over the rail for a foul ball.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I could have sworn Buck was a pull hitter afore we got 'im.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Why is Valdesac in for Duda? MLB.TV blocks my SNY feed for the Phils. They're announcers are not bad.
