David Howard, His Ass

David Howard's ass was sick of hauling itself in to work for the rich, spoiled, and cluess son of an aging billionaire, tone-deaf to the fans, and hopelessly un-self-aware.

He's going to work for the Knicks.

From the frying pan into the fire.

Not sure but I would think being vice president of business with the Mets was challenging the last few years.

Mets season ticket holders were truly consoled when they were informed that the view from their seats was diminished rather than obstructed. Good fucking riddance, jackass.

Wait, are you implying somebody is neither all bad even if he's not necessarily all good? I'm not sure the Internet can tolerate that sort of perspective.

Based on first-hand observation and interaction plus the input of those who might know more intimately, his heart was sometimes in the right place. Take that as you will.

I could agree with that. He also seems to ooze "Salesman"

I'm sure Howard is a swell guy irl. Why, he saved Citifield from Dwight Gooden's signature!

I've never heard of Dave Howard until this thread.

You know, I think I'm mixing up David Howard and David Newman in my head.

Newman, unrelatedly, has the first office to left of the Pepsi Porch and has two field level Shea seats facing out.

If you'd like a more detailed list of random Mets employees you may or may not have ever heard of.. (linkedin)

Is it uncouth to email this

Eric R.( Upgrade for full name )
Director, Information Technology at New York Mets

with my resume out of the blue?

The names sounds a little familiar, but I really couldn't have told you that he was a Mets executive. I gather from the posts here that I'm not supposed to like him, but whatever.

I'm ashamed of myself.

Go for it, Ceets. Worst they can do is say no. Or make you work for Jeff, whichever.

I suppose the scary thing here is that the Mets don't appear to want to replace this guy, just give some people (uh, including Jeff, more responsibility).

Like the scam site it is, LinkedIn wouldn't give me the guys full name (and hence allow me to infer his easy to guess email address) without upgrading. Suggested I knew someone that knew someone that knew him and could 'connect' me. Asked my aunt to bridge that connection, but the woman she knows that worked in the ticket office left a year or two ago. googled a bit, failed to reveal the "R" for Eric's last name and went on to more conventional job searches.
