Mets 2-0 in 2011 with me there and Batista starting, only 3-2 when Capuano started and me there. So maybe it will be a good Fonzie Bobblehead Day after all.

Ruben Tejada SS
Andres Torres CF
David Wright 3B
Scott Hairston RF
Jason Bay LF
Ike Davis 1B
Ronny Cedeno 2B
Mike Nickeas C
Miguel Batista RHP

Im taking bets. How many innings does Miguel last? Does he get outta the 1st? Does he settle down? The suspense is hurting my head.

Hefner was up Howie said , over 30 pitches but gets out of it only down one.

Howie speculating that when Harvey gets the call it will be a road start and not in Santana's spot against Strasburg Wednesday.

It's been his pattern as a starter this year. Crappy beginning and he settles down. Let's hope that holds.

Jerseys do not shape destiny, Destiny produces the jersey for the game.

This is excruciating. Batista has nothing, Capuano looks good, and I'm surrounded by all manner of amateur comedians who think that yelling 'Harvey' at full volume is either clever or helpful.

The grilled bologna and Bayside fries were excellent, however.

Valde trying to make something happen. Nice drag bunt. Good thing there was no throw cause he was way out of the baseline.

Bay hits us back into this game!

I'd take it easy on the beer and keep my fists in my pocket.

I hope Ike was mad at himself there and not the ump. We got game! 4-2 da bums.

I haven't had a beer at a game in ages, but I appreciate the sentiment. Instead, I'm playing cliche bingo with the guy on my left. After he yelled 'I got it' on a foul pop and 'Ump you suck' on Davis's K I just need a 'Swing batter' to win a gift card at Waldbaum's and a basket of jams and jellies.

More two-out walks and defensive incompetence plus a 27-pitch inning despite only two base-runners, and all this from the guy who is in the game on account of the starter giving up too many two-out runs with too many high-pitch innings.

Uribe is hitting .180 and had walked 8 times all year coming into today ... so we walk him twice and, surprise, we get burned by it with two outs again.

And Treanor (second greatest athlete in the family?) breaks an 0-23 slump with an RBI hit of his own. That's three runs driven in by the banjo gang (the dgang gang).

My new invention is a compartment under the stands for tucking the tarp away. Rolled up tarps should not interfere with caroms, say I.

1. Gotta say, seeing Cedeno go after a ball at 2B wearing a 13 jersey, I had a Fonzie moment.

2. Eff this, I'm going to go drink beer with a Boy Named Seo.
