Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Some random bullpen stats I crunched today.Manny Acosta, with 33 runs allowed, is still tops in the National League among pitchers with no starts. Heath Bell is second with 28.The non-Acosta relievers are pitching to a 3.77 ERA. The bullpen with Manny Acosta in it was posting a 5.54 ERA. Since the last time he appeared in a game, the Mets bullpen has posted a 4.07 ERA.League average is 3.85.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Won a lot more games then Anthony, though.I guess it's a pretty safe bet that Young is the winningest name in baseball history. Johnson is probably second. Maybe Niekro third.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 blehTejada-6; Murphy-4; Wright-5; Davis-3; Duda-9; Bay-7; Torres-8; Thole-2; Young-1
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 No Valdespin against the righty after what he did last night? He could have started in CF for Torres (they want to give Bay ABs, I guess).

I can't imagine Collins wants to play him....
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Adam Rubin ?@AdamRubinESPNTC said he needs to maximize outfield defense w/ Chris Young pitching, hence Bay, not Valdespin. TC said he'll still "mix and match with BayThat makes sense but Duda is out there.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Mets go back in mid-August for a weekend series. Could play two on Saturday (7:05 scheduled game) or Sunday.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Closed door meeting for the Mets. That's a well you can only go to twice a year.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Ruben leading off. Six game hit streak....... pops to second.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Murphy up. Peerless builds America's best boilers. he went 2-2 last night after entering late as a pinch-hitter...... and he skies that shit to right. Morse puts him away.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 David Wright digging in. Drove everything to the warning track last night.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Fucking flares one in and hustles to second. Guy is golden this year. Let's pick his sugary ass up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Ike Davis, hitting .290 over his last 29 games.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Strikes him out on the change. Let's dampen their spirits in the bottom of the inning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Lombardozzi leads off and flies to the track. Some kid named Harper up now and Young wants nothing to do with him.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Lines to left-center. Bay steps in front of Torres for the play.Get in the game, Crane Pool.Ryan Zimmerman stepping up...... matches his Norfolk playmate David Wright with a two-out double.

Duda's not great for sure, but he's the 'regular' and is vastly experienced as compared to Jordany.

At a corner outfield spot, it's a tossup. Also going for the introvert over the extrovert.
