nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Adorable talking teddy bear says "i love you" then starts cursing, drinking, and fucking up his buddy's life and relationship before ultimately helping to fix everything. it was good but not at all amazing, 3 1/2 stars.Mina Kunis is fucking amazing. No, not her acting (though thats fine too)The men in the movie are all pretty forgettable (hey, look, i've already forgotten all their names!)Patrick Stewart as the narrator at the beginning is pretty funny, I'm used to him as the "proper" Captain Picard and Professor Xavier, hearing him say "fuck" just made me laugh all by itself.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 for a 1-joke movie, the joke is pretty funny. then it just gets weird/creepy. I liked it OK.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 About what I expected: a mixture of cheap laughs and actual laughs. Certainly nothing resembling high brow humor, but not insulting either.I suspect 'Family Guy' fans will probably find it a 1/2* to a star funnier than the rest of us.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I went 2.5. saw it..sometime during this weekend. Was basically a romantic comedy though, without the overwhelmingly cheesy/sappy crap. (yes, the movie with the talking teddy bear was a more realistic version of a love story) Ted stands in for whichever plot point would be used to indicate the guy's lack of commitment, just Mila Kunis is just looking for equal footing rather than replacing his previous life.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Very stupid but I lolled. Dirk Diggler is pretty charming, and pulled off acting with a bear really well.
