Jayce continues to hang around the org. Right now he's hitting 250/300/423 as a left fielder/ DH in Las Vegas, and seems to be mainly starting vs. LH pitching.

Mets Roster Central, while predicting the Mets open with four outfielders, is laying out the Vegas outfield as Zach Borenstein / Jayce Boyd / Matt den Dekker / Kevin Kaczmarski / Kevin Taylor. But Jayce is the only righty hitter among them, so that may put him on a slightly different shelf, and help him stand out if the Mets go browsing.

I could see him getting a call if, say, Céspedes goes down (knock wood). He had a really good 2017, but you've got to write off at least part of that as Vegas inflation. He was stinky the year before.

So I guess I didn't point this out but Jayce was released in April and was last playing independent ball in St. Paul, but I can't find his info there anymore so it may be curtains for his career.
