Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Just have to look at that lineup to know that this Travis Wood guy is a lefty[looking up his stats] His 33 hits in 41 IPs so far this season is a good ratio. His 19 BBs over the same span not so much and hopefully that plays into this lineup's strength. We faced him once when he was with Cincy in 2010 - got him for 5 runs (3 earned) over 4-2/3.Wright had a single and triple in 3 ABsOn the other hand, he stroked an RBI triple off Pelfrey (the 2nd of back-to-back 3Bs) as part of a 6-run 5th and the Reds went on to win the game. Wood though got rocked in the bottom of the 5th and didn't last the inning so didn't get the win.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Absolutely loving Wood's mullet and beard combo, he's straight out of 1989.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 The NY road greys and blue caps look exceptionally good at Wrigley.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Jeeze Wright makes that tuff play look easy and routine.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Whoa check out Wood's helmet!
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 That's a really crooked C.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 It's a good thing that Wood didn't get a hit or the whole team would want to wear a crooked logo on their helmets.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Nothing notable will happen until we get this IGT to page two. Lets go!
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Wright doesn't get his daily hit in his second at-bat.

Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Johan keeps his helmet logo affixed correctly.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Looks like the airline may have lost the Mets' bats.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 We're making Travis look like Kerry, circa 1998. Other than Wright, there is no one who's shown the ability to drive the ball on a halfway consistent basis. I'd say they should start lifting weights but I'm sure that would lead to more injuries.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Gangsta? More like Cracka...
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 What do they use? Metal helmets and fridge magnets?
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 The magnet is actually sticking to the plate in his head.
