Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 It's just... this team is grinding as hard as they can but stuff like Turner at first and Batista in the eighth --- by circumstances or by choice, we're not coming after this team with our best stuff. If you're gonna keep Rottino over Valdespin, why wouldn't he be at first against C.C. Sabathia when Ike is down? Why else have the guy?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) Out-hitting the Yanx 11-7 plus we have several walks, a balk, a bushel of SBs, and 3 errors in our favor ... but the hits are all singles so we're losing. Edited June 24, 2012 by Guest
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 A little dribbler from Ruben, on a 3-1 meatball? I am one sour (half-)Kraut.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Sooner or later we're going to have to get to one of their relievers.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 345 here. Sugar and Doodoo are due.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Now that we've lulled them into a false sense of security, it's time to score two more.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 No rain at all in Brooklyn
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Well, if we want to do it in regular season 2012, now's the time.(Pouring... shit.)
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Wright will probably triple and then get stranded.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Oh, he's hanging some stuff up there, if Wright can time it.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 With about 380 AB's since his last homer, Murph is due.

Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I hate hearing people cheering at Citi Field when the Mets lose.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 What a wasted weekend.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Well, I have some minor intestinal discomfort.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 You're right though, Turner fucking killed us tonight with the error and the DO and lack of Vinniness.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Where the fuck was Byrdak???Cano: lefty.Teixeira: leftySwisher: switch, admittedly better against lefties but not a huge difference.Ibanez: lefty. What the hell was he waiting for? I note that I had this same thought before the top of the 8th and said so aloud; the douchebag Yankee fans sitting near me could confirm.Really fed up with Terry here. Also, the rest of the team didn't exactly impress.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Now this loss bothered me. I was fairly sure it wouldn't live up to the hype and it didn't. I like how we came back. Didn't like Batista for 2 but that's easy to say in retrospect (though I thought it at the start of his 2nd inn.). Tough loss. Hey, Nats lost so we didn't lose any ground. I wanted this one tho. Woe is me.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I am just really fucking sick of losing to these schmucks by one run all the time (or almost all the time: five losses this year of 8, 2, 1, 1, 1).Too many singles tonight and just one knuckler that didn't knuckle to Swish-face.
