Burkhardt seems like a good guy. He was nice as could be when we ran into him in Spring Training a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, if he wants to do baseball play-by-play the Mets are not likely in his future.

Cedeno goes into the hole to rob Jeter. I need to go change my shorts.

Indeed. The scrotum-bath that the Mets announcers have bestowed upon the Yankees over these four games is nauseating.

Was that a pitcher stare-down from the HorseMan as he rounded the bases?

Nice recovery from Niese, who's tended over the last few starts to let the wheels come off after the other team breaks through.

Not helpful, Ike.

Even with his big hits as of late I don't feel he's out of the woods til he stops swinging at shit like that.

We're almost certainly going to need a couple outs from Byrdak before this is all over.
At some point these monkeys are going to get a couple on and then bring Ibanez and/or Chavez off the bench to swing for the fences (like they do any other kind of swinging on this team).

I'm very happy with Niese's outing. Now the pen has to secure his win.

For some reason I have total faith. (I'm gonna have to make a graphic that captures that)

I'm glad you are, because I'm looking at this game at a toss-up right about now.

oe: although that K of Granderson just helped my mood a bit.

Prime whiffery.

You stick with Parnell as long as he's throwing like this, no? But does Terry?
