Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Hairston batting cleanup does not inspire a great deal of confidence.Prove me wrong, O bald one.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Yeah, maybe gimme some:Torres cfTejada ssMurphy 2bWright 3bDoodoo rfHairy lfDavis 1bThole cSchwincompoop, spI'm a little curious when Operation Torres Restoration goes into effect. Until he bats leadoff again, it's this thing I keep waiting to happen. It's driving me mad.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I don't like Torres 6th any better than 1st that's for sure.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Yeah, if he's not going to be leadoff, eighth or ninth is fine.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I see what Terry is trying to do... with four of the starting eight batting left-handed, he doesn't want to cluster them too much in the middle of the lineup. Edgy's lineup accomplishes the same thing, but I think, in a better way.EDIT: Ceetar said pretty much the same thing I did, but two minutes sooner.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Ike needs to hit a few shots off or over the fence before he earns his way back up to 6th is what this really is about. But still. It drove me nuts these last few nights to see Torres getting up there in the middle of everything.

I'm the 4sq mayor of the place.I think I like your lineup better. Torres up front. I don't like Hairston cleanup though he has hit sorta well lately.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 oh yay, Tejada thrown at third to start the game.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Duda not in game after all. Neiuwy in left.Schwinden walks shitty leadoff hitter, who steals on next pitch.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 And now he's 3 and 0 on the second batter.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Duda is available as a PH.Schwinny escapes the 1st scoreless.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I was hoping we could get Ramirez or somebody to pinch-puke for Duda.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Dispatch from the real world: Junior Seau shoots himself to death.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Nieuwenhuis walks.Duda vomits.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Torres goes down swinging.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 The MLB.com box score shows Duda available on the bench, but the box score on Yahoo.com (which I trust a bit less) shows Nieuwenhuis as a sub for Duda.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Wow, Ceetar, are you actually in the Mets dugout??? Is Anna Karenina there?

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Schwinden's 1-hitter bid is over too.
