Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I just now checked in for the first time, and the Mets have already given up the lead twice and trail by three. Not a great day for Dickey, huh?

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Wright ties Straw for team RBI lead even though on an ugly infield single.Wright now on base at least twice in every game he's played this year.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Wright gets the RBI on that, its ruled a single, and Murphy takes 3rd on the throwing erro, right?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Tying run on base. Ike Davis up. Rain delay. Not an official game yet, so it's possible that Darryl will temporarily regain the RBI crown.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Oops, no more delay. Ike has grounded out.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 No rain delay just a pitching change!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Ike grounded into a fielder's choice, Murphy out at home.Bay lines out (shit)Now its up to Duda
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Too many missed opportunities for the Mets today already
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Two guys thrown out at the plate this game on plays when neither should have been going.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Ugh, if you give up 2 runs for every run you score, well, hell, I don't see how you can win that way.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Mets might need to call up an emegency innings eater after Dickey follows Santana to an early exit

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 RA Dickey would like to interrupt this book tour to serve some meatballs.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Now in rain delay Sez Yahoo.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 They're not really delays, per se-- the wormTurners are just taking their time between innings grooming the puddles.I'm not sure how much bad luck has to do with it, but Teufel appears to have made the wrong decision in sending runners something like 80% of the time today, only nailing the gimmes. He's looking Razor-sharp so far this year in general.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Teufel should only send runners who bat against lefties. Backman should send runners who bat against righties.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 you left out Fucking Cedeno

Bank clothing stores.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 maybe throw in a FUCKing Chipper there too, since it doesn't seem right without one.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 What exactly did Bay do?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Tracking a liner by Chipper... had it lined up... then had it bounce off his glove just before he hit the wall. Between the mess and the moisture, this feels like one of those old-school Joe Robbie specials.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Dinky hits by Bay and Duda, now that, y'know, all those troublesome runners aren't there, that were around to distract them earlier.[sarcastic applause]
