He's on pace for 162 saves this season. I haven't checked but that may be a record.Sadly, it's a non-save situation with the score tied in the ninth.Thanks. Point was, he was up in warming during the bottom 8.Oh, I know. I was disappointed the Mets hadn't gotten a lead in that time.

Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Way to go, Young Daniel. Another happy recap!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Murphy was so jacked after making that great play that he had to get the winning hit.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 That was a pretty great game. I like what I've seen from this team so far.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 SWEET! (Sorry Frank 2 for the lack of a save opportunity)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 - I didn't mind Ruben bunting- but then I kind of liked him trying the fake bunt thing too- but then I did NOT want to see him bunting w/2 strikes- but then I liked the outcomeYeah, I was conflicted.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I think I lost my voice as a result of this one.Wow!
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 That's a real nice win. It's early and they're playing hard and smart. Finding it easy to root for this team.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I was glad Collins let Kirk hit against the Meiskite* (that's "ugly one" in Yiddish) lefty. Even though he made an out, he hit a line drive, taking the pitch the other way.He may have lost an inning, but he gave the kid confidence that he won't be automatically jerked out of there against lefties. Then, he hit for him with Hairston later in the game.Oh well ...Later* = pronounced MEE- iss- kite.
