Unless it's something personal and weird-- and, though it very well could be, he's never given any public indication that it is-- Spanish pronunciation would dictate that it's either "Hey-YOO-rees" or "HYOO-rees."

I suppose you're right. I think what I should have said is that I've been mentally pronouncing it as "Joris" whenever I read his name. But that's not at all likely to be correct.
