metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 For the fun of it I would like to place $20 bet on this from CeetarI think at the end of the day, Duda will be the second most valuable RFer, but it'll be close with Stanton. I'm betting that Duda will not be the second most valuable RFer.viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17377

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Of course , if he is the second most valuable then I will donate to a charity of your choice......

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Ah, c'mon. If not money, bet a baseball card. Bet a beer. Bet a humiliating day in a Speedo.

metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 bet something really good. like a public proclamation of love and affection towards the wilpon regime. or a day in a mfy cap. the latter would of course grant you free reign to commit nefarious crimes and misdemeanors, so it's not a total loss.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I don't know... I think that wearing a Yankee cap could result in severe scalp burns.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Ok , I can go for either donating money or, and this is not easy to say, wearing one of those awful MFY's 28 championship jackets......the wearer must have a picture taken with it on amd post it here AND on their facebook.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Personally, I'd bet cash before I'd bet wearing MFY stuff. Money can be replaced. My soul, not so much.

My soul, not so much.I'm kinda concerned about the MFY possibility. Are you saying some of you _own_ this stuff for me to wear if I lost? I certainly don't. I got two free SI Yankees hats last year and promptly put them in a white elephant grab bag at christmas time.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 How about one of those douchey "Big Papi Has A Tiny PeePee LOL" (or some such) shirts from one of those River Avenue stands? Not technically the enemy gear, but just as-- if not more-- embarrassing.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Would it be possible to link to the threads where these wagers were initially made? I'm having trouble finding them to read the context in which the originated. Also, I'm pretty sure I still owe Lunch a giant beer at Zum Schneider from some wager I lost years ago.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I linked mine up there and here is the thread where Ceetar thinks the Mets will score more runs than the Phillies.viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16799&start=100

Or if it's not issued in 2012 do we call it a push and drink wine or something? Also a push: If it's another 'top' prospect but not Havens?

I'd lean towards no, since I'm not sure how we judge 'scrub' status of coaches.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Oh, I owe you a beer, but Willets owes me one.
