Harris rewarded with a start after watching strike 3 last night. Pagan looked dehydrated so why not give Pridie a start?

They've got two more Zimmermans than we do.

One is a Zimmermann.

Holy Shit Murphy!

A dumb NYM base-running play is now officially called 'pulling a Muffy'
Three seasons ago it was 'a Pagan' but now it's got a new name.

Man, Pagan goes down looking at Bay fans swinging.

Good matchup with these two guys, I'll give 'em that.

We've had way, way, way too many baserunners the last two days to not have scored any runs.

Maybe we can say that the batter 'Bopped Up'

Or, when you bring in a Japanese reliever in a situation where there's a wide range of still-unknown outcomes we can call it an Igarashamon

No wonder teams are asking about Hairston , PH home run, third of season(wow ), sixth of career ....Rubin.

Ninth inning. Let's crash some walls.

Another solo bomb for Hairston, tying the game at 2-2 in the 9th!

GIMME A HEAD WITH HAIR!

Wow. Big game for Scott so far. Too bad nobody else on our team is interested in getting a big hit.

Nice play (not quite Keith-esque) gets the lead runner at first but they've still got the winning run on second base.

Not if Murphy is going to pull a Mex.

A limp and soggy way to lose.

Im thinkin' "too bad its past the trading deadline, so they can't get rid of him".
Then I'm thinkin "Who in his right mind would want to deal for him anyways?"

Let's relax.
He's in a bad stretch and still has work to do but you also don't rebuild by dealing away 26 y/o relievers who throw 100mph.

The problem here is that the only runs they've generated over the last 21 innings have been 2 Scott Hairston HRs.

Yes, wasn't that long ago(around time I left for vacation) that Bobby looked unhittable ....Terry says Murphy not at fault.

"@AdamRubinESPN: Terry Collins says Murphy was NOT at fault on 9-3-4 double play with bases loaded. Niese supposed to tag. Murph supposed to draw throw."

Posted

Yeah but he never looked at what was happening.

I would have sent Niese too, but if Murph checks at what's going on in front of him he can hit the brakes a step or two earlier and get back.
He never did.
