Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 (edited) Ervin Santana no-hitting the seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians" heading for the 9th.Cleveland scored in the 1st inning on an error, SB, GO, and WP but no hits then or since.3-1 Angels Edited July 27, 2011 by Guest

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 He gave up one run in the first inning: error, SB, groundout, wild pitch.1 walk and 8 Ks through 8 innings.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 It's always a good think when Johan Santana no-hits someone. Hopefully our version can do this next year.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2011 Author Posted July 27, 2011 Mariners put up a 4-spot in the 7th and lead the Yanx 6-1They might even have an outside chance of winning this one!

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2011 Author Posted July 27, 2011 And the Braves and Pirates ... are going to extras.1-1 end of nine.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 The Braves should just forfeit humbly.OE: Meals at 3B.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 How many innings before Hanrahan pitches? Let's start a pool. I say he doesn't enter the game until the 12th.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2011 Author Posted July 27, 2011 And I just saw a replay of the 1st inning error in the LAA-Cleve game today ... could easily have been scored a hit.Obviously since it was so early (first batter of bottom 1) there was no chicanery to make it an error, but it turned out to be one of just two base-runners (a later inning walk) in Santana's no-hitter.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2011 Author Posted July 27, 2011 Braves win legitimately tonight, and in a mere 10 innings.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 oh boo, Silly Pirates, walking Uggla and giving up the game-winning hit to Ross. makes me sad.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2011 Author Posted July 27, 2011 Nah, you gotta walk the bases loaded there to get the possible force play w/1 out and hope for the GiDP.The now last-place Nats lose another one to Florida. Were down 7-1 heading into the 9th, then scored 4 runs before the tying run flew out to the fence w/1 on to end the game 7-5.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 We need to catch the Pirates now and punish them for not using Hanrahan in either game. I know it seems cruel after 20 years of them losing, but you're got to look at the big picture.
