bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I'm watching him from the parking lot at the Bowie Motel 6.No, he's starting today.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 LGM, YGB yyybbb, I'm declaring this a Big Game today.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 He is stalking David Bowie. In other things at MFY Oldt's Straw was awesome Doc was hobo.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I was kind fo rooting for Terry to get some of his regs out of yesterdays game.Pretty cool to have Josh Hamilton on the bench. Pretty terrifying to have him looming over the game as a pinch-hitter.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 If former umpire Dutch Rennert were still active and was behind the plate for a game involving Texas pitcher Derek Holland, could that be considered a conflict of interest?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Game opens with Metly singles by Reyes and Turner.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 An 0-2 wild pitch gets away from Taylor Teagarden and Reyes scores.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Whatever happened to that rule where an OFer supposedly has to take the ball cleanly out of his glove before it was considered a catch? (IOW, NOT what Cruz just did). It's a stupid rule and is rarely called but I do remember the Mets (Mike Cameron maybe?) getting burned by that one time.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Dillon Gee is nervous in front of his family.

Reyes pretty much keeps them from busting it open with a catch on the hardest hit one of them all --- by Taylor Teagarden of all people.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 So far they're hitting better, we're fielding better.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Happy to be watching a game from this series, finally, after getting screwed out of Friday's by my cable provider and missing yesterday's match to attend a wedding.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 So did Kinsler miss that tag or did blue seriously blow that call?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Strong bounceback inning for Gee-Munny.Was/am concerned about a centrifugal flop to the mean.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Yeah, Gee is not going to be a 1.000 pitcher or even an .875 pitcher. But hopefully some others get hot when he gets cold. Let's keep hitting.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Popup on the mound brings four infielders converging but no injuries for the Rangers.Reye$ now 3-3.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Edgy DC wrote:So did Kinsler miss that tag or did blue seriously blow that call?Jose's spikes hit Kinsler right in the glove, he was out by at least two feet.Good thing we got that call because he shouldn't have been going in the first place.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Is blue working with us today or what? The Ranger booth has been real polite about it too.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Granted, they've gotten quite a few borderline calls go against them, but if Washington's coming out of the dugout to bitch about balls and strikes, shouldn't he be showering early?OE: Neeeeever mind.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Yeah, it's half that the calls have been going for us (one blatant, several borderline) and half that the Mets have immediately jumped on every edge they've been given.Washington was, I'm sure, frustrated by the cumulative effect of them all.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Yeah, he was tossed the moment he came out.Meanwhile, two on, no out, top of the order.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 And Kinsler grounds into one of those best-friend thingies. High pitch, too.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Make that one on, two out, and our Sleeper Agent at the bat.Nicely turned, that.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Tejada's error gives the stRangers a shot but then a nice-pla-all-around GiDP [Turner/Tejada/Murphy] shuts the inning down.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Seventh inning and the Chuck Norrises get their first strikeout of the Mets all afternoon.Bay.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Whoever is running this Ranger team, great job bringing Tatayana in with three righties coming up.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 So do you suppose any team has ever scored 21 runs over a game and a half at that park and somehow managed to NOT hit a HR in the process?
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
