metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Kinsler - 2bAndrus - SSHamilton - CFBeltre - 3bYoung - DHCruz - RFMoreland - 1bTorrealba - CMurphy - LFHarrison - Pnice lineup there
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Trying to get Beltre going by flopping him in the middle there. He's not deserving it this year.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Beltre is far deserving of hitting clean up on a MLB team this season than the black hole that's in the middle of the Mets line up tonight.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Texas is good and the extreme heat is a home field advantage.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 i'm at the Lehigh Iron Pigs game tonite. In left field for the Charlotte Knights, Lastings Milledge. This team is also managed by Suupa Joe McEwing.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Pelfrey seems to be the player who lets me down the most. Seemed like the bigger the game, the more he crumples. Not that this is a HUGE game, but riding a two-game win streak and closer to .500 it would be nice to get it. And he goes and pukes up a three-run dinger in the first.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 It's bad enough that the Mets are losing but SNY keeps showing GW Bush. Please stop!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 rangers can score, still plenty o time.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Excuse me, waiter?I think you brought me the Politics Flame War by mistake? I could've sworn I ordered an IGT. Could you... thanks, I appreciate it.[Meanwhile, a nice/lucky K by Pelf pisses on the Ranger rally.]
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 It's WPIX, not SNY. Believe me, I know. Thanks to MLB Extra Innings and Verizon, amazingly, the Mets/Rangers game is the only MLB action being played today that isn't available in my house. FML
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Tonight, between errors, ill-advised pitch chasing, and falling over while making outs, Jose's looking a little like what his detractors used to say he was, in the days before JoseSlag was criminalized. (Not to mention the dam-ned SMILING!)
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Fman--I'm getting the game via Extra Innings.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Author Posted June 24, 2011 Would be nice if our hitters could even make it a little bit hard for the Texas defense.Virtually every ground ball is soft and easy; each fly out is high and lazy.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 bmfc1 wrote:Fman--I'm getting the game via Extra Innings.Yeah, I'm considered a "local market" so I'm blacked out on MLB Extra Innings. Yet my service provider doesn't carry the "local" channel that the game is on, so I miss all the WPIX games. 25 of them, this year.Time Warner would pipe these games in on a local access channel. Verizon, not so much.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Author Posted June 24, 2011 That's ridiculous that you're a 'local market', you're 300 miles away!!I think Verizon is the one to bitch to about that.

Fat lot of good it's done me.What I suspect is happening is that, because you get SNY as part of your package, they automatically put you on the blackout list as a way to force you into watching the game directly via SNY. But then they just assume all Met games are on SNY and when they're not there's no human being to un-flip the switch so to speak and allow the game through because the whole thing is, I'm sure, automated. The fact that you are decidedly NOT in the home area means they probably shouldn't black out either but they'll probably cite some MLB policy at you.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 The real kicker is that the non-YES Yankee games are ALWAYS carried on the local NBC affiliate.
