Pelfrey advances him over with a gounder to short (no bunt? have we escaped Planet Jerry?), and Reyes singles him home. Mets up, 1-0.

Atlanta gets all three back. Bases loaded and still no outs.

And [crossout:25nvrt2y]Perez[/crossout:25nvrt2y] Pelfrey gives up a fourth run on an error by [crossout:25nvrt2y]Castillo[/crossout:25nvrt2y] Wright. Ugh, release them already.

Big Pelf sucked the BHMC in Spring Training last year too, if I recall. All the same, it'd sure be nice if he'd have one good outing.

A seven-run frame for the Men from Atlantis.

So, was he busy thinking about the World Cup or that fatal Love Parade stampede during July last year?

"Cristhian Martinez" is:

A) The birth hospital's/some civil servant's typo
B) MLB.com's typo
C) His parents' typo
D) The guy's name; there is no "right" spelling-- it just is. Now what do you think of this incense-- too musty?

I hope he's not seeing that psychiatrist anymore, as he's dead.

at the present time?

just laughed out loud as the thought popped in to my head that Pelfrey killed him.

Presumably he's dead both in the present, the future, and the recent past. (I think this happened a month ago)

Holy Mother of M. Night! THAT's why he looks so nervous on the mound-- Pelf's Sixth-Sense-ing!

The Mets score 4 in the 9th to win 8-7. Walk-off single by L. Hernandez. All the 2B candidates chipped in--Turner was HBP, Emaus with a RBI single, D. Murphy with an RBI single.

Yeah, what a way to win. An infield hit to his namesake Diory Hernandez, in at second for the Bravos.

Paulino almost tied it himself off the lefty-- pinch-hit flyball to the deepest part of left-center.

Unfortunately, Oberholtzer and Broadway are both NRIs, and seem unlikely to come (slightly) north.

Two more scoreless, with three strikeouts for Blaine Boyer, making a late push to squeeze into a roster with no room for him.
