Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Sam Rockwell is the sole inhabitant of a moon mining facility. Hes been away for 3 years and is starting to lose the plot. With two weeks to go an accident threatens his return to Earth. Kevin Spacey is GERTY his A.I. companion. Its old school, arty sci-fi on a shoestring budget. The film breaks a ton of Hollywood sci-fi clichs, even teasing some. Rockwell rocks. The result is wonderful. (Vic Sage will like it..... or maybe he won't.)
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I thought it was pretty cool. Rockwell does indeed rock well.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Long overdue to see this. Directed by Lil' Bowie, right?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Formal exercise, but with a surprising amount of dramatic heft (thanks, Sam) and pop-philosophical meat.Looking forward to Source Code lots.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I don't even remember this one. When I saw the thread, for some reason I thought of Moon Mullins. (And I think it's been decades since I last thought of Moon Mullins.)
