(thats not a kaboom there^^. That's a "Mets".
But that is the 1st kaboom I ever made)

No score after one.

wtf Jose?
Reyes runs into the 1st out at third.
Why steal there Jose? Why?

And Beltran follows with a single.

What ever happened to not making the first (or last) out of an inning at third base?
That was really dumb.

Can you believe that?
Pagan stops. jeeze. He may have been out but you have to make them make the play at the plate.
At least he stayed in the rundown long enough to let Davis get to third.

Redeem yourself Jose.

Nice. Thought that was a hit up the middle, great play by Valdez saves a run. Jose does drive in one.
Blanco sliding hard into second on the force attempt.

Two straight RBI hits with the bases loaded!

On the downside, Jose is half-way to the cycle of getting thrown out at every base today.

Damn. Werth flubs the bloop single and it gets by him (funny) . The Mets try to clear the bases and Jose is out at the plate (not funny). Excellent throw by SHAAAANE!. Nice play at the plate by Ruiz. Great slide by Jose.
Good baseball.

Mets do get 2 more and its 4-0

Nice that they're scoring a few runs here, but they're letting Hamels off the hook a bit too.
He's retired only 3 of the last 12 hitters to face him (and one of them was Misch) but wound up with six outs due to the caught stealing, a GiDP, and the throw out at home

Something else to root for. Yay!

True. He's been against the ropes every inning cept the 1st.
We could have knocked him out by now if we had brains under our helmets.

Phillies threatening in the 4th.
Runners on the corners, 1 out.

Carlos Ruiz seems to get big hits when his team needs them the most.
Let's not allow that here.

What FK said.
Also- there's a thin line between agressive play and not knowing when and where to do stuff.
Looks like Jose's mind has been doing wheelies on that line today.

Nice DP.
I don't think the ump knew that was only ball three on Ruiz.
If he did that was pretty senseless letting him get all the way to 1st before letting him know.

Sending Reyes home wasn't a bad move, it just didn't work -- although if there was ever a time to get 'payback' on one of the Phillie phielders he coulda/shoulda buried Ruiz.

The brainless move was the caught stealing. Wrong move, wrong time and he had a lousy jump to boot.
Between pickoffs and CSs we're giving up a lot of baserunners lately. Can't even remember the last successful SB

Not only did that GiDP end the inning but it probably kept Hamels in the game (he was on deck) and Beltran takes advantage ... and NOW he's outta here.

I was hoping and was happy Jose tried to score there. That was good baseball.
He could have put the smack down on Ruiz, as Pagan could have, though Pagan looked pretty much hung out to dry.
Maybe Pagan did do the smart thing there (one brainless thing I was referring to was him stopping on the way to home), allowing Davis to get to third. Cuz he looked to be a dead duck.
But i wanted to see him bowl over Ruiz there. And I guess that would not have accomplished nothing.

Shit!
Didn't think Misch was gonna give him anything to hit.
Utley with the 3 run bomb.

Ryans double knocks out Misch.
Pagan, how about running to the baseball, not walking. Oy.
There could have been a play on Howard at 2nd.

Man, this Phils lineup has so many hitters that I'm afraid of.
Werth is one of em these days.
Go get him Green!

Wicked slider from Green gets Werth. Wicked.

Okay, lets not be rolling over now. More runs required.

Werth is probably the best hitter in the lineup these days.

I support pulling the starter with two out in the fourth and denying him his win, but

a) I doubt Jerry would pull that on a more established starter, and

B) I fear that Jerry is going to try (and fail) to use six pitchers to get the final 4 1/3 innings.
