batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Mets move into a tie with LA and can leapfrog Colorado and Florida tomorrow:I'm taking credit here. My theory is that the team reads the CPF and finally decided to put the ********** Frenchy on the bench for good against righties after reading about my boycott.Fuck you, Jeff Francoeur.

From the spring to the mediocre to the top to the doldrums to 10 games out and then back to the top. I love rollercoasters. We all know, watching this season, some of the play we have seen, that at this point its a minor miracle that they even still have a chance.Time to call in that major miracle.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Any truth to the rumor that the Mets called for rain so they could help limit Niese's innings?

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Could be worse, KC & ChiSox got rained out Friday night and are playing a DH tonight ... starting at 6PM local time?!?! How nutty is that? Was something going on at 4 that prevented them from using the stadium? And worse yet, their in the 11th inning in game 1. Game 2 probably doesn't start until at least 9.[/quote:1niu2t3v]Footnote to this game(s): BOTH games wound up going extra innings (11 & 10) taking 3:25 & 3:06Add in the usual half-hour between games and that's 7 hours of baseball on a night that didn't even begin until 6PM.I'm figuring there weren't a whole lot of people there at the end.
