batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 This is all good. Because another inning like this one and it'll be Ollie time. And then the Wilpons can justify why they're carrying the useless pitcher.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Lousy first inning epidemic. FU, Johan.

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 And Francoeur leads off the inning by swinging at three pitches outside of the strike zone before finally fouling out. Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Nice Louie.I one third forgive you.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Wilford Brimley sighting, behind the plate and to the right.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I really can't watch or listen to the first innings anymore. They're beginning to make me irrationally angry.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Yeah, this Mets team don't got it.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 When the Braves are in the field I can hear them yelling info to each other, so loud its in the broadcast.Did anyone yell to Castillo there that Diaz was coming into second?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Well, there's always ice cream.Breyers strawberry to be specific.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Didya see that? A Met pitcher sacked up.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 WOWKOOL!I want that Thole card Ashie.I bought 2 packs of A&Gtopps this summer and got the Reyes, which is also an awsum looking card.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Maybe Johan can try getting the leadoff hitter once in a while so he's not pitching out of the stretch all the time.Dude's thrown like four pitches out of the wind-up the whole game.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Again with the black. Are they in mourning?

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Frenchie and Castillo really killed that inning. I demand Johan hold the Braves here and we try again with the top of the order.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I'm just gonna throw this idea out there, and I know it may be perceived as heartless, but at this point is there any reason to give ABs to Francoeur? We know what he is and we know that he won't be a Met in '11 so how about calling up Evans? Since being promoted to AAA, he's 8 for 16 w/7 RBI. While Bay is out, once and for all we should get an idea if Evans is going to be part of a Mets future. Francoeur won't so let's see what Evans' got.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Mets are on the board as Reyes>single>errant pickoff> Beltran>double= 1 run
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Now would be a good time to do something Jeff.
