batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Which right handed starting pitcher has the highest Met career rate for most strikeouts per nine innings (200 min. IP)?Which left handed starting pitcher has the highest Met career rate for most strikeouts per nine innings (200 min. IP)?A "Starting pitcher" is defined as one who has appeared in more games as a starter than as a reliever. All strikeouts for a pitcher thus defined as a starting pitcher were considered, including their strikeouts as a reliever.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Gooden and LeiterThese guesses are too obvious and therefore likely to be wrong.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Nolan Ryan, perhaps? I'll guess Nolan and Sid Fernandez.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 My two guesses for the non-obviouses: Craig Swan and Frank Viola.
