G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Schmidt happens, as do other N.L. East third basemen. Choose two for their hot corner work over the past 41+ seasons in the division.(Note: Keeping individual players confined to one position ballot, thus Hubie Brooks is listed at shorstop, just as Todd Zeile is listed at third base, Edgardo Alfonzo is listed at second, et al.)
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Mike Schmidt was the easy number one. Sorry David, but I have to ignore the bad taste in my mouth and take Larry Wayne Jones.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Schmidt's a no-brainer and I had to hold my nose and vote for Chipper too.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Oh boy, NYMR and I have rising similarity scores.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Wow, the NL East is loaded at the hot corner.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Several solid careers to choose from, but Schmidt was clearly "the man" on this list. Chipper is an eventual hall of famer and gets my second vote.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I'm hoping I feel like changing my vote in 2-3 years.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 The vote came out the way I figured them, Mike and then Chipper.I'm late to the voting, but I'll vote anywayz to see who the rest of you picked. If I'm way off base, I'll tell you why I voted the way I did.Later
