That would be terrific. I'm terrified he turns into a pumpkin at some point. But so far so good.

As to the offense, we're going to need Barajas and Francoeur make fewer outs between them but I'm not sure if either of 'em can do it

I sincerely hope so. I like Takahashi in the role of long reliever/2nd LOOGY, but I fear he may suffer from over exposure as a starter. I truly hope I am wrong. I certainly have more faith in him, than I do in Perez.

I appreciate everyone's support. I am essentially on a virtual island when it comes to being a baseball fan. My buddies couldn't care any less about baseball. My best friend hopes the Mets win and will occasionally watch a few innings of a Mets game, simply because it's important to me. Seriously, I doubt that most of my friends would care if MLB ceased to exist. My one friend that accompanied me to Mets games the past two summers has gone from a casual fan of the Braves to a very interested (though not obsessive like most of us) Mets fan. He is the only person with whom I can discuss the Mets other than the people here.
