Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 They do understand that eventually our lead goes away if we keep giving up runs, right?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Feliciano walks in a run and ADAM DUNN WILL BE THE TYING RUN AT THE PLATE
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Dunn flies to Bay to end the inning, this team is a heart attack
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 A win. A frustrating win, but a win nonetheless.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 They win the damn thing.Howie got into blowout mode and after giving condolences to Francis X Healey whose dad Bernard passed away, spent an inning talking about Fran, giving him good natured props for whoring for sponsors and whatnot. Before long he was back in crisis mode as Mejia lost his stuff.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Nice outing by Valdes, going farther in relief than some of our starters do.[/quote:2igrgykm]He may be our #3
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I went to game.David Wright struck not out.Jose Reyes popped not out.I demand season tickets. On the road also.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 More in keeping was the bullpen mailing in the last three innings. A handful of rallies were lost to double plays also. Was there any explanation for the Francoeur Freakout? That ball was 40 feet behind him. Nice and lofty too. Was it lost in the lights? The sky was sick with bugs last night, with fluffy couds of white moths, and I could imagine the ball flying into one of those clouds and it not being clear which moth was the ball.Ike Davis hit the ball hard all night. Seems a little confused on the basepaths though.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Lost in the lights/sky.....on replays Francoeur could be seen to ask "where is it"....
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 In retrospect, one of the biggest plays in the game was Pudge Rodriguez's brain-freeze on the base paths. That snuffed out a potential big inning.Imagine how knee-knocking that later Adam Dunn AB would have been had the score been a tick or two closer than it was.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 There were a handful of brainfreezes by both teams on the paths. During pitching changes, the third base coaches were waiving guys over from second for impromptu tutoring sessions.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Quickly skimming, Lard Ass 43 killed the thread for 3/4's ofan hour. No one got it?
