Don't mess with my mojo, folks. We've got Johan Santana on the mound, a manager fighting for his life, and third place within reach.

Prado, 4
Heyward, 9
Jones, 5
Glaus, 3

Francoeur-RF
Santana-LHP

well, per the New York Mets anyway, I don't know why the beat reporters still retweet the lineup.

the lineup just makes my head hurt though.

Just crediting the source. They work to get it up there first, let's show some love for the effort.

Rubin's the fourth guy in my twitter feed with the lineup. And that's not counting the email directly from the Mets with it.

OK, you win. Anything more picayune to discuss?

I'm excited by the lineup.

I don't hate it, but I'm certainly not excited by it. Seems Pagan should be higher. Davis is slumping a bit, maybe put Pagan 5th for now.

Think the Braves will have any more weird at-bat music for the Mets tonight?

Now, that's some critical shit right there. I hope the organist wasn't a one-off thing. Maybe some Ike and Tina for young Mr. Davis, Teen Angel for Pagan, or a little Oye Como Va for Johan.

The organist played "Proud Mary", by (among others) Ike & Tina Turner, when Ike Davis came up.

Johan does appear to have the good sauce tonight.

I step away to eat some cheesecake for a minute and Glaus smacks one.

One of the more interesting things about this series.....Charlie Angels theme for Pagan

Medlin gets Frenched! 2-2 at the tea interval.

Same after 6. But Santana's at 97 tosses, with copious first-pitch swinging by the Flushingers keeping Medlen's pitch count in the temperate mid-70s.

Tough changeup on Medlen.

Medlin is yanked with two on, and Moylan throws the ol' vegemite ball and induces a 5-4-3 from Francoeur as the organist plays La Vie en Rose.

7 pitch bottom of the inning for Santana, and 13 in a row retired.

Bet he still comes out in the 8th.

Saito's still pretty good, eh?

FLEESH LIVES!

Nice eighth inning against the meat of the Braves order (such as it is) for PedroDos.

Castillo beats out a grounder to Yunel Escobar by a half-step and scampers to second on a wild pitch. Chew on that, Country Time.

And please, no more fucking bunts here.
